Late-December-Morning

"Late December Afternoon"

Oil on Linen 11" x 22".
Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Watkins of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

This tract of land, on the north shore of the James River, was established as a farm thirty years after the founding, by English settlers, of nearby Jamestown, Virginia. The large parcel of land was called Curles Neck and the family who sold the property in 2006 was avid duck hunters and desired a painting of their marsh and hunting hut.
