“Off Wolftrap Light”
Named for the British sailing vessel HMS Wolf, which ran aground here, this lighthouse has warned mariners off the shoal on the lower, western shore of Chesapeake Bay since 1870. Here we see a scene from around 1900 when sail and steam power ruled the bay.
